Job summary

Desert Man Transporting and Contracting LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Estimation Engineer with a strong background in transportation infrastructure civil works. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, review tender documents, and coordinate with suppliers to secure profitable projects.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of UAE experience in estimation and tendering, expert Excel skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings and prepare competitive tender submissions under tight

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in estimation and tendering.
• Strong experience in transportation, civil works, infrastructure, earthworks, equipment, and contracting.
• UAE experience in a similar transportation contracting company strongly preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other estimation software.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of work and contract requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates for transportation, civil, infrastructure, and contracting works.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and pricing for tenders and projects.
• Develop competitive tender pricing while maintaining acceptable profit margins.
• Coordinate with operations, procurement, and management during estimation.
• Prepare tender submissions, commercial proposals, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain database of rates, supplier quotations, and project costs.
