Job summary

Confidential in Dubai seeks an experienced Estimation Engineer / Civil Estimator to join its Estimation & Tendering department. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for residential, commercial and high-rise projects.

You will review drawings, BOQs, and specifications, perform quantity take-offs, and produce detailed cost analyses and competitive pricing proposals while coordinating with Procurement, Technical and Project teams. UAE experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is mandatory.
• Minimum 5–7 years of estimation experience in Dubai/UAE main contracting companies.
• Proven experience in estimating residential, commercial, and high‑rise building projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction market rates, materials, and subcontractor pricing.
• Excellent understanding of BOQs, drawings, and tender documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
• Experience with quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and tender pricing.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for construction projects.
• Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual documents.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs for civil, structural, and architectural works.
• Prepare material, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare rate analysis, cost breakdowns, and competitive pricing proposals.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Commercial, Technical, and Project Management teams.
• Identify tender risks, discrepancies, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare tender clarifications, technical queries, and value engineering proposals.
• Maintain updated construction material rates and subcontractor pricing.
• Support tender negotiations and project handover following contract award.
