Job summary

Astra Engineering & Construction is seeking a senior Estimator to lead estimation activities for Civil, Structural and Building projects in Abu Dhabi. You will review tender documents, drawings, specs and BOQs to prepare accurate cost estimates and identify potential risks.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with 15+ years of estimation experience, strong MS Excel skills and excellent coordination with procurement, engineering and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in Civil Estimation/Tendering.
• Strong MS Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimation activities for Civil Structural and Building projects.

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Analyse material labour equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier subcontractor quotations.

• Support preparation and submission of competitive and accurate tenders.
• Review estimates prepared by junior estimators and engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in Civil Estimation/Tendering, preferably within EPC or Engineering & Construction.
• Strong experience in Building, Civil and Structural works.
• Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off and costing.
• Experience in EPC/Construction projects preferred.
• UAE/GCC experience will be an advantage.
• Strong MS Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
