Job summary

JAMES CUBITT MIDDLE EAST & NORTH AFRICA LTD is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our UAE projects. You will manage construction project documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, and correspondence, ensuring accurate registers and timely distribution to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in document control on UAE sites or engineering consultancies, strong MS Office skills, and excellent coordination with site engineers, consultants, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in document control, preferably within UAE construction sites and engineering consultancies.
• Hands-on experience managing construction project documentation, including drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, method statements, inspection requests, correspondence, and other project-related records.
• Familiarity with document transmittals, document registers, revision control, filing systems, and document distribution procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing documents and ensure timely distribution to relevant stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines efficiently.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work closely with site engineers, consultants, contractors, and project management teams.
• Candidates with UAE engineering consultancy and construction site experience will be preferred.
