Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai seeks a Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to own project financials, IPCs, variations, and final accounts in a cost-focused role.

You will lead budgets, contract administration under FIDIC, review payment applications and IPCs, and drive tendering and BOQ reviews to protect developer cash flow.

The ideal candidate has MRICS accreditation, 8–12 years UAE experience, and in-depth knowledge of FIDIC and UAE laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering.
• 8–12 years of post-qualification experience in commercial management, cost consulting, or quantity surveying within the UAE real estate/construction market.
• MRICS accreditation strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of FIDIC conditions of contract (Red Book / Yellow Book) and UAE construction laws.
• Expert proficiency in cost management software, Microsoft Excel, and quantity takeoff tools.

Responsibilities

• Cost management & control: Establish budgets, cash flow projections, and cost reporting across all project stages.
• Contract administration under FIDIC contracts with main contractors, sub-contractors, and engineering consultants.
• Valuations & IPCs: Review monthly contractor payment applications, IPCs, and progress claims.
• Variations & Claims: Evaluate contractor claims, variation orders, and EOT requests to protect cash flow and contractual positions.
• Procurement & Tendering: Drive tendering processes, BOQ reviews, commercial negotiations, and contract award drafting.
