Job summary

Tanqeeb, based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage all cost-related aspects of construction projects. Responsibilities include preparing/reviewing BOQs, cost plans, and estimates, while monitoring costs, contractor claims, and cost reports.

Qualifications

• Min 8 years of demonstrated expertise in cost control, cost management, and cost planning.
• Experience on UAE authority projects (RTA, ALDAR, or DMT)
• Proficient in preparing, reviewing, and managing BOQs and quantity take-offs
• Experience in cost reporting, cash flow projections, and variance analyses
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in QS, CE, CM; RICS or equivalent is an advantage
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure or building projects in the Middle East
• Knowledge of contracts, tender processes, local market rates, regulation
• Proficiency with QS/cost management software and MS Excel
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management
• Detail-oriented with strong numerical and analytical skills; deadlines can be met

Responsibilities

• Manage all cost-related aspects of construction projects, including BOQs, cost plans, and estimates.
• Monitor and control project costs, verify contractor claims, and prepare cost reports.
• Support value engineering initiatives for financial efficiency.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients; analyze variations and update forecasts.
• Contribute to tender evaluations and contract administration.
• Assist in risk assessments and maintain cost records.
• Promote adherence to company standards, local regulations, and client requirements.
