Job summary

Tanqeeb in the UAE is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support commercial management across multiple projects on a Cost Plus basis. You will lead pre- and post-contract QS activities and advise project stakeholders on cost control.

The role combines office and site duties, requiring review of invoices, take-offs, and robust tender evaluation. A UAE experience with consultants or developers is essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of quantity surveying experience.
• Mandatory UAE experience with a Consultant and/or Developer.
• Good experience on large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, or infrastructure projects.
• Advanced knowledge of methods of measurement (POMI, CESMM, NRM, or equivalent).
• Good understanding of FIDIC contracts, claims management, and commercial administration.
• Strong experience in tendering, procurement, cost planning, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage project commercial functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities.
• Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.
• Review and approve Bills of Quantities and tender documentation.
• Lead tender evaluations and commercial recommendations.
• Review, assess, and negotiate variations, claims, and extension of time submissions.
• Manage contract administration under FIDIC conditions.
• Prepare executive-level commercial reports and cost analyses.
• Lead final account negotiations and project close-out.
• Provide commercial guidance to project teams and management.
• Review project procurement strategies and contract structures.
• Liaise with developers, consultants, contractors, and legal advisors regarding contractual matters.
