Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead post-contract commercial activities from award to final account. The role covers IPA, valuations, variations, claims, and subcontractor payments with a focus on cost control and profitability.

The candidate should have a strong background in BOQs, drawings, and contract documentation, plus Excel and QS software proficiency. A UAE-ready professional with 5–10 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant construction discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in quantity surveying, commercial management, or contract administration.
• Strong post-contract experience is mandatory.
• Proven experience with IPA, valuations, variations, claims, subcontractor payments, and final accounts.
• Strong variation evaluation, rate analysis, and commercial negotiation skills.
• Experience preparing and negotiating claims, EOT, delay/disruption and loss & expense claims.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, BOQs, drawings, specifications, and scope of work to establish commercial entitlement.
• Manage all post-contract commercial activities from award to final account.
• Prepare interim payment applications, valuations, progress claims, and payment certificates.
• Coordinate with site teams for accurate progress quantities and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and maintain variation logs, claims, and payment trackers.
• Prepare subcontractor payments, cost build-ups, and final settlements.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow, and project profitability; deliver CVR and cost reports.
