Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial and contractual aspects of complex construction projects from pre-contract through final account.

You will manage cost control, budgeting, forecasting, prepare and negotiate contracts and variations, monitor cash flow, and mentor the commercial team. UAE/GCC experience and strong FIDIC knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant commercial/construction experience.
• Experience in high-rise buildings, villas, and major construction projects.
• UAE/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, UAE construction practices, claims, variations, and EOT.
• Excellent negotiation, contract management, cost-control, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Candidates available in the UAE and immediate joiners are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from pre-contract to final account.
• Lead cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, profitability, and commercial risks.
• Manage variations, extension of time (EOT), claims, and contractual disputes.
• Review tender documents, BOQs, specifications, and commercial proposals.
• Coordinate with project managers, QS teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, commercial procedures, and company policies.
• Identify commercial risks and develop strategies to protect the company's financial interests.
• Lead and mentor Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members.
• Prepare regular commercial reports for senior management.
• Support tendering and business development activities when required.
