Job summary

Mira Construction in Dubai seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial and cost management across major projects from pre-contract to completion. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in QS/CE, 10+ years on large-scale projects, strong knowledge of cost planning, BOQ, tendering and FIDIC contracts, and excellent English communication.

You will work with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement and Finance to monitor costs and provide forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in Quantity Surveying or related commercial role.
• Experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Knowledge of cost planning, BOQ, tendering and procurement.
• FIDIC or standard contract knowledge.
• Experience with contractors or consultancies preferred.
• Proficiency in QS software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Professional working English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost plans.
• Prepare review and manage Bills of Quantities.
• Quantities take-offs and BOQ management.
• Cost analysis and expenditure evaluation against budgets.
• Valuation of works, interim payments and final accounts.
• Review variations, change orders, claims and notices.
• Support tendering and procurement activities including bid evaluation.
• Negotiate and manage commercial aspects with contractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project costs and prepare cost reports and forecasts.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and procedures.
• Work with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement and Finance teams.
