Key Responsibilities
- Support the Resident Engineer in supervising stormwater drainage and microtunneling construction.
- Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures for assigned works.
- Review inspection and test plans, method statements and related construction documentation.
- Conduct and follow up on inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor inspectors ' performance and the quality of site supervision records.
- Report construction progress to the Resident Engineer and Project Manager.
- Verify project records required for accurate as-built documentation.
- Coordinate civil, structural and MEP service interfaces.
- Liaise with the Head Office design team regarding material submittals, design queries and technical clarifications.
- Supervise stormwater pipeline installation and microtunneling drive activities.
- Inspect shafts, manholes, valve chambers, washout chambers, air valves and connection chambers.
- Verify that construction follows the approved sequence, methodology and quality requirements.
- Enforce HSE standards and safe working procedures across site activities.
- Help resolve technical issues arising during construction.
- Provide technical input for design modifications and value engineering proposals.
- Review contractors ' technical submittals, shop drawings and method statements.
- Ensure compliance with RTA, Dubai Municipality and other relevant authority requirements.
- Assist with evaluating contractor progress claims, variation proposals and change requests.
- Coordinate with the supervision team to maintain quality, safety and schedule objectives.
- Identify potential construction risks and escalation significant concerns promptly.
Ideal Profile
- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Senior-level experience supervising drainage, utilities or underground infrastructure projects.
- Practical knowledge of stormwater network and microtunneling construction.
- Experience reviewing technical submittals, shop drawings and method statements.
- Familiarity with quality assurance, quality control and inspection procedures.
- Understanding of shafts, manholes, valve chambers and related drainage structures.
- Knowledge of RTA, Dubai Municipality and applicable local authority requirements.
- Ability to coordinate civil, structural and MEP interfaces.
- Experience supporting progress claims, variations and change evaluations.
- Strong technical reporting and construction documentation abilities.
