Job summary
AECOM Middle East Ltd is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead stormwater systems projects in Dubai. The role covers supervision of drainage and microtunneling, QA/QC implementation, and coordination with civil, structural and MEP interfaces on-site.
The ideal candidate will have senior-level civil construction experience, strong documentation skills, and familiarity with local authorities’ standards such as RTA and Dubai Municipality.
Qualifications
- Relevant Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Senior-level experience supervising drainage, utilities or underground infrastructure.
- Practical knowledge of stormwater networks and microtunneling construction.
- Experience reviewing submittals, shop drawings and method statements.
Responsibilities
- Support the Resident Engineer in supervising stormwater drainage and microtunneling construction.
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for assigned works.
- Review inspection and test plans, method statements and construction documentation.
- Conduct inspections to verify compliance with drawings and specs.
- Monitor inspectors' performance and site supervision records.
- Report construction progress to the Resident Engineer and Project Manager.
- Coordinate civil, structural and MEP interfaces.
