Job summary

Azizi Developments is seeking an experienced BIM Modeler to lead precast BIM modeling and generation of shop, erection, fabrication, and production drawings. Job description

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in precast BIM modeling, shop drawings, reinforcement detailing, structural coordination, and production drawings, with the ability to coordinate effectively with Structural Engineers, Production, QA/QC, and Site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for precast concrete elements and structures using Revit and relevant BIM software.
• Prepare detailed precast shop drawings, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and production drawings.
• Model precast elements including columns, beams, walls, slabs, stairs, façade panels, and other precast components.
• Incorporate reinforcement, embedded items, openings, lifting anchors, connections, and other required details into BIM models.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to identify and resolve clashes and discrepancies.
• Review structural and architectural drawings to ensure accurate modeling and detailing.
• Prepare detailed reinforcement and connection layouts based on approved structural designs.
• Ensure BIM models and drawings comply with project specifications, approved design standards, and company requirements.
• Coordinate with Structural Engineers and Design teams to resolve technical and modeling issues.
• Coordinate with Precast Production, QA/QC, and Site/Erection teams to ensure drawings are practical and suitable for manufacturing and installation.
• Update BIM models and drawings based on design revisions, RFIs, consultant comments, and approved changes.
• Generate accurate quantities, schedules, and relevant BIM data from models when required.
• Conduct model reviews and ensure accuracy, consistency, and constructability of precast components.
• Maintain BIM standards, naming conventions, modeling procedures, and document control requirements.
• Guide and review the work of junior BIM Modelers and provide technical support when required.
• Support the preparation of BIM deliverables in accordance with project timelines.
• Assist in improving BIM workflows and modeling standards within the precast factory.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, BIM, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant BIM modeling experience, with significant experience in precast concrete.
• Strong experience in Revit Structure and precast modeling.
• Proven experience preparing precast shop, fabrication, production, and erection drawings.
• Good knowledge of precast elements, reinforcement detailing, connections, embedded items, and construction methods.
• Experience coordinating BIM models with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and relevant BIM coordination tools.
• Experience with Navisworks and clash detection is preferred.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and workflows, including model coordination and document control.
