Job summary

Azizi Developments is seeking a Senior Precast BIM Modeler in Dubai to lead the development of data-rich 3D parametric models for precast and prestressed concrete elements. The role bridges structural design, factory automation, and site installation, delivering LOD 400–500 fabrication models and shop drawings.

Responsibilities include producing complex precast models, extracting shop drawings and BBS, and coordinating with architecture, structural, and MEP teams while ensuring BEP and ISO 19650

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or BIM Technology.
• 6–10+ years in structural BIM modeling, with at least 4 years in precast concrete detailing and manufacturing workflows.
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures (Precast module) or Autodesk Revit (Precast/Structural).
• Experience with Navisworks Manage, Solibri Model Checker, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360, and Planbar.
• Deep understanding of precast connections (corbels, grouted sleeves, loop boxes, weld plates), reinforcement placement, lifting hardware, and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex fully parametric 3D precast models LOD 350 to LOD 500 for beams, columns, hollow-core slabs, double tees, insulated sandwich wall panels and staircases.
• Extract detailed precast shop drawings, piece tickets, element layouts, BBS and strand hardware embed schedules directly from the model.
• Populate parametric families components with metadata required for factory production tracking and material procurement.
• Run multidisciplinary clash detection Architecture, Structural, MEP and Precast connections using Navisworks or Solibri.
• Resolve spatial conflicts regarding MEP cast-in sleeves, lifting anchors, connection plates and post-tensioning ducts before releasing drawings to production.
• Ensure full alignment with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), ISO 19650 standards and client modeling requirements.
• Generate and export automated machine data formats e.g. BVBS, Unitechnik, DXF from 3D models to drive CNC mesh welders, shuttering robots and automated plotters.
• Coordinate with plant managers to ensure model breakdown aligns with factory bed capacities, mold dimensions and crane lifting limits.
• Perform strict quality control (QC) checks on models and shop drawings produced by junior BIM modelers and detailers prior to engineering sign-off.
• Mentor junior team members on advanced modeling techniques, dynamic family creation and efficient precast detailing workflows.

Position Overview

The Senior Precast BIM Modeler leads the development of high-precision data-rich 3D parametric models for precast and prestressed concrete elements. Operating within a precast engineering and manufacturing workflow this role acts as the technical nexus between structural engineering design, factory automated production, and site installation. The Senior BIM Modeler transforms structural concepts into LOD 400 500 fabrication models generating accurate element shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), hardware embed layouts and CNC CAM data for automated mold setup.

Key Responsibilities

• High-LOD Modeling & Fabrication Documentation
  • Develop complex fully parametric 3D precast models LOD 350 to LOD 500 for structural and architectural elements beams, columns, hollow-core slabs, double tees, insulated sandwich wall panels and staircases.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or BIM Technology.
• Experience: 6–10+ years of experience in structural BIM modeling, with at least 4 years dedicated exclusively to precast concrete detailing and manufacturing workflows.
• Primary Software: Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures (Precast module) or Autodesk Revit (Precast/Structural).
• Secondary Software: Navisworks Manage, Solibri Model Checker, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360, and Planbar.
