Job summary

Azizi Developments in Dubai is seeking a Precast BIM Coordinator to oversee BIM workflows for precast manufacturing and installation, ensuring alignment with ISO 19650 and BEP.

You will coordinate with main contractor design teams, precast engineers, factory production, and site crews, guiding model exchanges and data outputs for BVBS/Unitechnik/DXF.

The role requires extensive experience in Navisworks, Tekla, Revit, and ACC/Trimble Connect, plus ability to manage CDE and 4D/5D integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, BIM Management, or Construction Management.
• 5–8+ years in BIM modeling and coordination, with at least 3 years focused on structural precast concrete projects and offsite manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce BIM BEP across internal precast modeling teams and external sub-consultants.
• Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) setups for smooth IFC/RVT/NWD file exchanges.
• Establish precast modeling standards, shared parameters, naming conventions, and coordinate system setups.
• Conduct regular BIM coordination meetings with main contractors, MEP engineers, and architectural teams.
• Perform automated clash detection checks using Navisworks or Solibri to identify spatial conflicts.
• Log, track, and assign Clash Reports and RFIs via CDE platforms to ensure timely resolution.
• Verify model data outputs feed factory machinery (BVBS, Unitechnik, or DXF).
• Coordinate 4D Schedule Erection sequencing and 5D BOM model integration.
• Support quality control by verifying as-built laser scan data against precast models.
• Audit incoming models for spatial accuracy, parameter completeness, and LOD compliance.
• Train precast detailers and BIM modelers on standard workflows.

Precast BIM Coordinator manages the BIM workflows, model exchange, and spatial integration for precast concrete manufacturing and installation projects. Sitting at the intersection of the main contractor’s design team, precast structural engineers, factory production management, and site erection crews, this role ensures all 3D precast models align strictly with ISO 19650 standards and project BIM Execution Plans (BEP).

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) across internal precast modeling teams and external sub-consultants.
• Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) setups, e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, Trimble Connect for smooth IFC/RVT/NWD file exchanges.
• Establish precast modeling standards, shared parameters, element naming conventions, and coordinate system setups, project base points.
• Conduct regular BIM coordination meetings with main contractors, MEP engineers, and architectural teams.
• Perform automated clash detection checks using Navisworks or Solibri to identify spatial conflicts between precast elements, MEP cast-in sleeves, structural steel interfaces, and cast-in-place concrete.
• Log, track, and assign Clash Reports and RFIs via CDE platforms to ensure timely resolution prior to factory mold assembly.
• Verify that model data outputs accurately feed factory automated machinery, driving BVBS, Unitechnik, or DXF files for mesh welders and CNC plotters.
• Coordinate 4D Schedule Erection sequencing and 5D Quantity take-offs BOM model integration to support production planning and transport logistics.
• Support quality control by verifying as-built laser scan point clouds against the precast fabrication models for tolerance checks.
• Audit incoming sub-consultant models and internal team models for spatial accuracy, parameter completeness, and LOD compliance before production release.
• Train and support precast detailers and BIM modelers on standard modeling workflows and platform updates.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, BIM Management, or Construction Management.

Experience

• 5–8+ years in BIM modeling and coordination, with at least 3 years focused on structural precast concrete projects and offsite manufacturing.
