Precast BIM Modeler to lead the development of detailed, high-LOD 3D BIM models for precast structural and architectural elements across our development portfolio — translating approved design information into accurate, production- ready models and drawings. You will take ownership of complex modelling packages, mentor junior BIM/Revit Modellers, and
work closely with our Design Engineers, BIM Coordinator and Production team to ensure models are technically accurate, code- compliant and constructible on landmark projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the modelling of complex precast structural and architectural elements — columns, beams, wall panels, load- bearing walls, façade/cladding panels, hollow-core and solid slabs, staircases, balconies and connections — to the required Level of Detail (LOD).
- Build and maintain parametric Revit families and content libraries for standard and project-specific precast elements, connections and embedded items.
- Translate IFC/contract drawings, structural calculations and design information into accurate, coordinated 3D models and production drawings.
- Incorporate reinforcement, connection details, lifting inserts and embedded items into models in coordination with Design Engineers.
- Review and check models and drawings produced by junior BIM/Revit Modellers and Draftsmen for accuracy, consistency and compliance with BIM standards.
- Run and resolve clashes identified in Navisworks in coordination with the BIM Coordinator and other disciplines.
- Extract general arrangement, element and production drawings, schedules and quantities from BIM models.
- Maintain model quality, naming conventions, LOD requirements and version control in accordance with the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Support the Production Department with model-based clarifications during manufacturing, and assist with drawing revisions arising from production or site changes.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior BIM/Revit Modellers and Draftsmen.
Functional Pre-Requisites Skills:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Construction Technology (BIM specialization advantageous).
- 7-10 years of BIM/Revit modelling experience, including 5+ years focused on precast concrete detailing and modelling.
- Proven experience modelling precast elements and connections for Villas, High-rise, Hospitality, Mixed-use, Residential or Industrial projects, ideally in the UAE/GCC.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks (mandatory); strong AutoCAD skills; familiarity with Tekla Structures and common data environments (e.g. BIM 360/ACC) advantageous.
- Strong understanding of precast detailing, connections, embedded items, reinforcement, and production/erection sequencing and constraints.
- Working knowledge of applicable standards and project specifications (ACI, PCI, BS/EN, UAE authority requirements) as relevant to modelling accuracy.
- Proven ability to check and mentor junior modelling staff, with strong attention to detail and communication skills.
