Job summary

EDGE Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Principal Engineer to lead manufacturing process development, industrialization, and NPI execution for propulsion programs. You will drive greenfield setup, advanced machining, and design-to-manufacture activities, while guiding engineers and collaborating with design teams, suppliers, and partners.

The role requires 15+ years in aerospace manufacturing, hands-on expertise in machining, and strong CAD/CAM/CNC capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
15+ years of experience in aerospace or propulsion manufacturing.
Proficient CAD/CAM and CNC programming for manufacturing process definition.
Experience leading NPI, industrialization and ramp-up activities.

Responsibilities

Lead development and industrialization of advanced machining and fabrication processes for rotating and structural engine components.
Provide technical leadership in precision turning, milling, multi-axis machining, and related processes.
Define routings, work instructions, control plans, and inspection strategies.
Lead or support FAI, PPAP/industrial qualification, and capability studies.
Drive NPI activities from prototype through production readiness and ramp-up.
Support design-for-manufacture, tolerance definition, and trade studies.
Mentor manufacturing engineers and lead capability development.
Coordinate with suppliers and partners for process improvements and tech transfer.
