Job summary

EDGE in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Special Processes Engineer to lead the development, qualification, and industrialization of aerospace special processes for propulsion components. The role provides day-to-day technical leadership to engineers and technicians, coordinating with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities include establishing process capability, conducting FAI and industrial qualification, and driving supplier

Qualifications

• 8+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience with emphasis on special processes.
• Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), industrialization, process qualification, and ramp-up.
• Ability to develop process specifications, control plans and qualification documents.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials and quality systems.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, qualification, and continuous improvement of aerospace special processes for engine components.
• Provide technical leadership in processes including shot peening, thermal spray coatings, heat treatment, brazing, and related finishes.
• Define routings, process specs, work instructions, and acceptance criteria.
• Establish process capability requirements and statistical monitoring.
• Lead FAI, qualification, and production readiness activities.
• Support NPI and production ramp-up for new engine programs.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Oversight of suppliers and process validation.
