Job summary

Falcon Shield Security in Dubai seeks an experienced Security Supervisor – Shopping Mall & Retail to oversee daily security operations within a busy shopping mall or retail environment. You will supervise security officers, manage incidents, and ensure a safe, secure environment for customers, staff, tenants, and visitors.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, knowledge of retail security operations, and calm decision-making under pressure.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in private security or loss prevention.
• 3–5 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in shopping malls, retail environments, or high-footfall commercial sites.
• Valid SIRA Security Supervisor licence for Dubai operations.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, loss prevention, and incident management.
• Proficiency in CCTV, alarm, access control, and other modern security systems.
• Good knowledge of fire safety and emergency response procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office and security reporting systems.
• Strong communication, leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage security shift schedules using TeamConnect.
• Lead daily security briefings and provide clear instructions to security officers.
• Supervise and coordinate on-ground security teams.
• Monitor staff performance, attendance, and compliance with security procedures.
• Conduct regular security briefings and daily risk-awareness sessions.
• Monitor loss prevention activities across mall and retail areas.
• Identify and report internal and external theft patterns.
• Monitor high-risk retail areas and support shrinkage prevention measures.
• Maintain a visible security presence across customer and retail zones.
• Oversee CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, and electronic access control systems.
• Coordinate with Mall Management and relevant stakeholders on security matters.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, customer disputes, medical emergencies, and other disruptions.
• Manage situations involving aggressive or difficult customers using de-escalation techniques.
• Handle lost-child cases and retail theft incidents per procedures.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
• Maintain accurate security logs and formal incident reports.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify security and safety hazards.
• Ensure fire exits, emergency routes, and restricted areas remain clear and accessible.
• Ensure compliance with UAE security and safety regulations.
• Support the implementation of emergency response and fire safety procedures.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Security Supervisor – Shopping Mall & Retail to oversee daily security operations within a busy shopping mall or retail environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising security officers, supporting loss prevention activities, monitoring security systems, managing incidents, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers, staff, tenants, and visitors.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, sound knowledge of retail security operations, and the ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage security shift schedules using TeamConnect
• Lead daily security briefings and provide clear instructions to security officers
• Supervise and coordinate on-ground security teams
• Monitor staff performance, attendance, and compliance with security procedures
• Conduct regular security briefings and daily risk‑awareness sessions
• Monitor and support loss prevention activities across the shopping mall and retail areas
• Identify and report internal and external theft patterns
• Monitor high‑risk retail areas and support shrinkage prevention measures
• Maintain a visible security presence across customer and retail zones

3. Security Systems & Operations

• Oversee CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, and electronic access control systems
• Monitor security incidents and suspicious activities
• Coordinate traffic and access control within designated areas
• Work closely with Mall Management and relevant stakeholders on security matters
• Respond promptly to security incidents, customer disputes, medical emergencies, and other disruptions
• Manage situations involving aggressive or difficult customers using appropriate de‑escalation techniques
• Handle lost‑child cases and retail theft incidents in accordance with established procedures
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required
• Maintain accurate security logs and formal incident reports

5. Safety & Compliance

• Conduct routine inspections to identify security and safety hazards
• Ensure fire exits, emergency routes, and restricted areas remain clear and accessible
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE security and safety regulations
• Support the implementation of emergency response and fire safety procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in private security or loss prevention, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role
• Previous experience in shopping malls, retail environments, or high‑footfall commercial sites is highly preferred
• Valid SIRA Security Supervisor licence for Dubai operations
• Strong knowledge of security operations, loss prevention, and incident management
• Proficiency in CCTV, alarm, access control, and other modern security systems
• Good knowledge of fire safety and emergency response procedures
• Proficient in MS Office and security reporting systems
• Strong communication, leadership, and conflict‑resolution skills
• Ability to manage crowds and respond effectively to crisis situations
