Role Context The Sales Manager leads commercial activity across the group and leisure segments, converting market opportunities into profitable room, package, and account revenue. The position combines strategic market development with hands‑on account management, team leadership, forecasting, pricing discussions, and performance analysis. Success in this role directly supports hotel occupancy, revenue diversification, repeat business, and competitive positioning. Close collaboration with Marketing, Revenue, Finance, and Operations ensures that contracted business is commercially sound and delivered in line with guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies for group and leisure travel segments.
  • Build a sustainable pipeline of new accounts while protecting and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Drive revenue from travel agencies, tour operators, corporate accounts, group organizers, and leisure partners.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team against individual and departmental performance targets.
  • Establish clear sales priorities and monitor progress through regular performance reviews.
  • Identify high-value market opportunities through analysis of demand patterns, competitor activity, client behavior, and regional travel trends.
  • Maintain regular contact with key accounts to secure repeat bookings and uncover additional business opportunities.
  • Negotiate group contracts, commercial terms, pricing agreements, and packages while protecting hotel profitability.
  • Work closely with Revenue Management when developing pricing strategies for group and leisure demand.
  • Review conversion ratios, account production, sales activity, revenue contribution, and pipeline movement.
  • Use CRM systems to track prospects, client activity, opportunities, follow-ups, and account performance.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, business reviews, production reports, and management presentations.
  • Translate sales data into practical actions that improve conversion and revenue performance.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure group requirements and leisure packages are delivered accurately.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, promotions, market positioning, and lead-generation initiatives.
  • Work with Finance on commercial agreements, payment considerations, and account profitability where required.
  • Identify gaps in existing sales processes and implement improvements that strengthen productivity and customer experience.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the UAE and Middle Eastern travel market, including demand generators, seasonal patterns, and competitive hotel offerings.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, travel exhibitions, sales missions, networking events, and industry meetings.
  • Generate qualified leads through proactive prospecting, referrals, partnerships, and market engagement.
  • Develop relationships with decision‑makers across travel agencies, destination partners, corporate organizations, and group planners.
  • Monitor client feedback and use commercial insights to improve offers and strengthen retention.
  • Support annual sales planning, segment budgeting, target setting, and business development priorities.
  • Maintain accurate account documentation, pricing records, contracts, and commercial correspondence.
Ideal Profile

The successful candidate should have at least 5 years of sales management experience, including a minimum of 3 years focused on group sales, leisure travel, hospitality, or a closely related commercial segment. A strong record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets is essential. Candidates should understand how to build account pipelines, negotiate commercially sound agreements, manage strategic clients, evaluate market potential, and convert business opportunities in a competitive hotel environment. Leadership capability is equally important. The role requires someone who can coach sales professionals, establish measurable objectives, monitor performance, and create accountability while maintaining an energetic and collaborative working environment. Strong analytical ability is needed to interpret revenue reports, sales metrics, conversion rates, account production, and market trends. Candidates should also be confident using CRM software, hotel booking platforms, and revenue management tools. Excellent English communication and presentation skills are required, while additional languages would be advantageous.
