Rixos Premium Dubai invites you to join Turquoise Restaurant as our Restaurant Hostess to provide an appropriate welcome at Turquoise Restaurant for guests, to handle table reservations and effectively control the flow of guests. This position reports to Supervisor.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES include greeting guests, taking calls, assisting with setup, maintaining guest records, and upholding hotel standards in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading, writing and spoken English.
• Secondary language (Russian or Arabic) is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and guest-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and seat them at tables.
• Take telephone bookings and maintain reservations.
• Assist in table setup and displays.
• Maintain and update guest database.
• Ensure knowledge of hotel standards and apply them.

Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Rixos Premium Dubaias our new Restaurant Hostess to provide an appropriate welcome at Turquoise Restaurant for guests, to handle table reservations and effectively control the flow of guests. This position reports to Supervisor.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide a warm and friendly welcome, leading guests and seating them at their table
• Take telephone bookings and maintain a clear and organized reservations
• Assist in the set-up of tables and displays
• Maintain and update guest database
• To ensure full knowledge and understanding of LQA and Hotel Standards and to implement them in all interactions
• Be attentive to guests and resolve their complaints where possible, reporting all incidents to Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager
• To undertake service training lead by the outlet Departmental Trainer/ Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager to ensure full capability in understanding and executing service standards
• To ensure that all reports related to the outlet are well maintained and completed as per schedule and in a timely manner
• To support the service team during times of need/crunch in service in the following areas, but not limited to: section holding, coffee station, back area and mis en place etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of hostess station and surrounding areas, as well as of all menus
• Maintain good working relationship with own colleagues, and all other departments
• Correct preparation of all necessary operational material in the back office
• Learn safety, sanitation and hygiene policies
• Present check to guests and perform cashiering function if needed
• Effectively control guest flow in the restaurant ensuring maximum turnover
• Ensure the restaurant is ready to receive guests prior to opening and that both staff and tables are ready in line with opening standards
• Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel
• Assist other Food & Beverage Outlets in their operations within peak times when needed

Qualifications

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English
• Secondary foreign language is an asset ( Russian, Arabic)
• Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to establish a good rapport with guests
• Computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Eagerness to learn and share knowledge with the Team
