Job summary

Rixos Premium Dubai JBR is seeking a professional waiter/waitress to join its luxury hotel dining team. You will provide attentive service, knowledge of the menu and beverages, and maintain impeccable grooming standards in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in luxury food service, strong English, and a willingness to work flexible shifts. Experience with POS systems and a guest-centric approach are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a luxury hotel or fine dining setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of standard food and beverage service procedures.
• Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Professional grooming and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Fluency in English; additional languages (Russian, Arabic, Turkish) are an advantage.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grooming standards at all times.
• Exceed guest satisfaction by anticipating preferences and updating profiles.
• Maintain knowledge of the restaurant menu and daily specials.
• Be familiar with beverage service, glassware, and garnishes.
• Monitor daily targets on restaurant performance metrics.
• Anticipate and service guests' needs at all times.
• Use opening/closing checklists for smooth service.
• Keep service stations stocked and clean during service.
• Serve and clear items professionally and unobtrusively.
• Present menus proactively to guests.
• Report guest feedback through the Glitch system for action.
• Maintain HACCP & FIFO standards as required.
• Attend briefings and trainings as instructed by management.
• Identify problems early and seek assistance before service issues arise.
• Perform duties and projects as requested by management.

Job Description

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

• Ensure correct grooming standards are followed at all times
• Exceed guest satisfaction by knowing preferences and update profiles
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the restaurant menu & daily specials at all times
• To be familiar with the beverage service including glasses used and appropriates garnishes
• Following up restaurants financial, LQA, TrustYou targets on a daily basis
• Anticipate and service of guests' requirements at all times
• Use opening and closing checklist to ensure smooth opening and closing of the venue
• Ensure service stations are constantly cleared and re-stocked during service
• Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner
• Present menus in a proactive manner
• Keep manager on duty updated of any guest feedback so they can update the Glitch Report
• Maintains the HACCP & FIFO standards as required by the regional governing body
• Attend all necessary briefings and training sessions as instructed by the Manager
• Identify potential problems and anticipate guest needs, ask for assistance before service breakdown occurs
• Perform any duties and special projects as requested by management whether in your own department or any other department in the hotel
• All issues and negative guest feedbacks needs to be properly reported on glitch system
• Follow care program at all times, and report issues through the system to maintenance
