Job summary

Johnson Controls in Dubai is seeking a Regional Sales Engineer to drive growth across the Middle East & Africa. Based in Dubai, you will manage French-speaking African countries and expand our distributor network to achieve strong sales growth within HVAC products (Chillers, AHU, FCU).

You will develop plans to increase distributor sales, open new accounts, and handle inquiries through to orders and delivery. Travel across MEA to support growth and customer relationships will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in Direct/Indirect sales in HVAC, focused on Chillers/AHU/FCU.
• Proven track record for delivering sales targets within MEA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English, Arabic and French.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow distributor channels; create plans to increase sales volume and revenue.
• Generate new channels and open new accounts across MEA.
• Convert inquiries to sales, follow up with channel partners on quotations, place orders in system, and track delivery.

What you will do

The Regional Sales Engineer is a key role, reporting to the Sales Director responsible for our indirect channels across Middle East & Africa region. The team focuses on the HVAC product portfolio specifically Chillers, Air Handling Units and Fan Coil Units. You will be based in Dubai and manage the French speaking African countries and will be part of an emergent team that is focused in expanding our footprint and customer base to achieve our strong growth objectives.

You will be primarily focused on developing existing distributor channels by developing plans to increase their sales volume and revenue, generating new channels and opening new accounts. As a member of this team, you will work within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your experience to deliver our business objectives for our Middle East and Africa region.

How you will do it

As a Sales Engineer you will use your in-depth technical expertise in Chillers/AHU/FCU which will generate new channel accounts, to achieve your sales target by converting inquiries in sales, follow up with channel partners on the quotations, place orders on system and follow-up on delivery of equipment.

You are a hunter driven to seek and develop existing business and long term customer relationships, self-motivated. You’re analytical, perseverant, determined and reliable in your approach to work, managing multiple priorities simultaneously because of your excellent planning, organization and time management skills.

• Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in Direct / Indirect sales in HVAC industry specifically focused on Chillers/AHU/FCU
• Proven track record for delivering sales target within MEA Region.
