Overview
The role is a strategic hiring opportunity within public relations & communications for an experienced bilingual professional to manage public‑affairs initiatives, regulatory engagement, government relationships, corporate responsibility projects, sustainability alignment, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate public‑affairs opportunities relevant to talabat's operations in the UAE.
- Monitor regulatory, policy, and government developments across the seven emirates.
- Assess the potential operational, commercial, legal and reputational impact of regulatory changes.
- Maintain strategic relationships with government departments, regulators, municipalities and public authorities.
- Communicate talabat's priorities, business role, community contribution and operational impact clearly to government stakeholders.
- Support the development and execution of public‑affairs plans across the UAE.
- Coordinate public‑affairs projects with internal teams, external advisers, agencies and government representatives.
- Prepare briefing notes, presentations, official correspondence, newsletters, reports and stakeholder updates.
- Organise meetings, roundtables, government visits, events and community engagement activities.
- Ensure public‑affairs content aligns with corporate communications and marketing requirements.
- Support online and on‑ground risk‑mitigation activities when public‑affairs or operational incidents occur.
- Document incidents, stakeholder concerns, responses, decisions and follow‑up actions.
- Collaborate with legal and operational teams to manage emerging policy or regulatory risks.
- Align business priorities with public‑policy objectives and government expectations.
- Support sustainability initiatives and community outreach programmes.
- Manage corporate responsibility projects involving commercial, operations, finance, legal and marketing teams.
- Coordinate project plans, responsibilities, budgets, timelines and performance measures.
- Align corporate responsibility and sustainability targets with international frameworks and UAE government mandates.
- Define indicators for measuring social impact and non‑financial performance.
- Collect, analyse and report data relating to community initiatives and sustainability outcomes.
- Prepare management reports on public‑affairs activity, regulatory developments, stakeholder engagement and project impact.
- Maintain accurate records of government interactions, commitments, approvals and correspondence.
- Work with agencies and external partners to deliver high‑quality campaigns and public initiatives.
- Ensure messages remain accurate, culturally appropriate and consistent across Arabic and English communication.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines.
- Represent talabat professionally during meetings, events, inspections and stakeholder discussions.
Ideal Profile
- Minimum 4‑6 years of experience in Public Affairs, Government Relations, Communications, or Corporate Responsibility.
- Qualifications or professional experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, Communications or a related discipline.
- Agency experience or exposure to a fast‑moving in‑house environment is preferred.
- Proven project‑management experience involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the UAE government, regulatory and public‑policy environment.
- Experience supporting public‑affairs or corporate responsibility campaigns with measurable outcomes.
- Excellent written and spoken Arabic communication skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to draft professional presentations, briefing documents, reports and official correspondence.
- Strong stakeholder‑management and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Results‑driven approach supported by data, evidence and clear performance indicators.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, discretion and reliability.
- Ability to manage several active projects and competing deadlines.
