Pergola UAE Aluminium SPS LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of aluminium, steel and glass projects in the UAE. You will manage a team of Project Engineers, ensure delivery within quality and timelines, and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

Pergola UAE Aluminium SPS LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our regular-project portfolio and manage a team of Project Engineers across multiple aluminium, steel and glass projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are properly controlled, technically sound, accurately reported and delivered according to agreed quality and timelines. The role requires a highly technical, organized and credible leader who can manage a fast-paced project environment while maintaining strong client relationships and continuously improving project systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and control the regular-project portfolio of approximately 100–130+ active projects, ensuring proper prioritization, coordination, escalation, and follow-through from project award to handover and close-out.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of 8 Project Engineers, ensuring accountability for project delivery, reporting, site supervision, technical execution, client coordination, and project closure.
• Maintain clear visibility of project status, deadlines, client commitments, drawing approvals, material and fabrication readiness, site readiness, installation progress, snagging, handover, and critical risks.
• Participate in project kickoff and verify that scope, responsibilities, timelines, site conditions, technical requirements, and key dependencies are properly established before execution.
• Review project assignments and workload distribution with the Project Coordinator, and recommend or implement reassignment based on capacity, complexity, location, urgency, and Project Engineer capability.
• Review and approve technical/project decisions within the regular-project portfolio, including constructability, installation methodology, drawings, and site execution, while escalating exceptional or unresolved matters to the Project Director.
• Coordinate closely with the Planning Engineer to monitor schedules, milestones, look-ahead requirements, manpower, resource constraints, and forecast dates, ensuring client commitments are realistic and supported by current project data.
• Intervene promptly when delays, missed milestones, production/material constraints, resource conflicts, quality issues, or client commitments are at risk, and drive appropriate recovery and reprioritization actions.
• Coordinate with Planning, Production, Procurement, Technical, Commercial, Finance, QA/QC, HSE, and other departments to resolve cross-functional issues affecting project delivery.
• Lead major client escalations involving serious complaints, repeated delays, quality concerns, deteriorating relationships, or strategically important clients, while maintaining professional and effective communication.
• Ensure financial or commercial matters—including scope changes, claims, penalties, discounts, refunds, rework costs, or other monetary exposure—are escalated to the Project Director for approval.
• Own the overall Project Portfolio Status / Management Dashboard, ensuring management receives accurate and timely visibility of project performance, risks, delays, critical actions, and decisions required.
• Enforce reporting and ERP discipline across the Project Engineering team, ensuring project status, next actions, responsibilities, dates, and remarks remain current and reliable.
• Monitor Project Engineer performance and apply coaching, corrective action, training, or disciplinary measures where necessary to improve accountability and team performance.
• Ensure projects are executed to the required quality, safety, and technical standards, with prompt snag closure and timely handover.
• Prevent avoidable operational failures such as deployment to unready sites, missed installation slots, repeated remobilization, unresolved shortages, preventable rework, and recurring execution issues.
• Continuously improve Engineering Department systems, workflows, reporting, checklists, escalation processes, and project controls, introducing industry best practices that strengthen efficiency and accountability.
• Resolve operational matters at Project Manager level wherever possible, reducing unnecessary escalation and allowing the Project Director to focus on higher-level commercial, strategic, and high-risk matters.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years relevant project-management/project-delivery experience.
• Minimum 3 years as a Project Manager.
• Minimum 3 years UAE experience.
• Proven team-management experience.
• Valid UAE Driving License.
