Job summary

Tornado Group in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale civil construction projects, ensuring time, cost, quality and safety targets are met.

The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with UAE codes and FIDIC contracts, with a strong track record in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects. PM certification (PMP/PRINCE2) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• PMP / PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification preferred.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years as a Project Manager in the UAE.
• Proven track record in delivering large-scale residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.

• Budget & Cost Control: Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets; manage procurement; implement cost-saving strategies.

Job Summary

The Project Manager (Civil) is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of civil construction projects within time, cost, quality, and safety parameters. The role involves managing project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements.

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Define scope, milestones, deliverables, and risk management measures.
• Ensure all work aligns with project specifications, client requirements, and UAE standards.

2. Budget & Cost Control

• Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets.
• Manage procurement processes in collaboration with the procurement department.
• Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.

3. Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance.
• Facilitate collaboration between design, procurement, and site teams.

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the main point of contact with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Conduct regular progress meetings and provide project status updates.
• Resolve issues and manage change requests effectively.

5. Compliance & Quality Control

• Ensure adherence to local authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, ADM, etc.).
• Oversee quality control inspections and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance on site.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare weekly and monthly project reports for senior management.
• Maintain proper documentation for contractual, financial, and operational records.
