Job summary

The Orchard Place in Dubai is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee daily site operations, ensuring progress aligns with the approved schedule and coordinating with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.

You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, UAE regulations and quality standards, manage project documentation, monitor procurement, and promptly resolve issues while reporting milestones and risks to the Line Manager.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of UAE construction regulations and quality standards.
• Ability to identify and solve construction and coordination issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and ensure progress aligns with the approved project schedule and baseline.
• Monitor planned vs. actual progress and identify delays in construction or procurement.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement and site teams.
• Ensure construction works comply with drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and UAE requirements.
• Manage project documentation including drawings, permits, progress reports, inspections and records.
• Identify and resolve technical, construction and coordination issues promptly.
• Monitor procurement lifecycle including orders, invoices, deliveries and quality control.
• Ensure procured materials meet specifications and align with the project programme.
• Report milestones, progress, risks, challenges and potential delays to the Line Manager.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field

• Manage project documentation, including drawings, permits, progress reports, inspections, and records.
• Identify and resolve technical, construction, and coordination issues promptly.
• Monitor the procurement lifecycle, including orders, invoices, deliveries, loading/unloading, material inspection, and quality control.
• Ensure procured materials meet approved specifications and are available in line with the project programme.
• Report key milestones, progress, risks, challenges, and potential delays to the Line Manager.
• Ensure quality requirements are consistently implemented across procurement, drawings, and site execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, UAE regulations, and quality standards.
• Experience in project progress monitoring, procurement coordination, and site management.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE construction experience is preferred
