Job summary

Boskalis Abu Dhabi is seeking a Project Engineer (Civil & Concrete) to oversee multidisciplinary tenders and projects within the Infra Business Line. You will act as the webs between design, preparation, procurement and realization across several projects and tenders.

You will coordinate planning, procurement and delivery files, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists in road and civil concrete construction. Fluency in English is essential; Dutch is an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience including working methods, techniques and professional software.
• Good command of English (written and spoken) is required; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess colleagues', subcontractors', and customers' work to ensure tenders, projects, and designs meet requirements.
• Create work plans and inspection plans.
• Set up planning in collaboration with the execution team.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and subcontracting.
• Be responsible for the delivery file and its management.
• Perform cost control with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Convince customers and internal stakeholders of feasibility and safety of the proposed solution and specifications.
• Report to and support the (integral) project manager.

Job description

As a Project Engineer (Civil & Concrete) you can play an important role in the realization of leading and often complex projects for the Infra Business Line from your civil/concrete addition to complex projects we also carry out less complex works where as a project engineer you are the spider in the web between design work preparation procurement and realisation on several projects and/or tenders.
As a project engineer you and the team are responsible for preparing and supervising (complex) multidisciplinary tenders and projects within the Infra Business Line. The Infra Business Line realizes the projects of Boskalis Nederland within the dry Infrastructure. We do this as an integrated contractor based on cooperation expertise and one wallet. As a project engineer you will work in a multidisciplinary team with specialists in the field of road construction and civil concrete construction. Based on your knowledge and experience you are the teams source of information and support for substantive issues.

Your Responsibilities as a Project Engineer (Civil & Concrete) are:

• Assessing the work of colleagues subcontractors and customers so that tenders projects and designs are carried out in accordance with the requirements.
• Making work plans and inspection plans.
• Setting up planning in collaboration with the implementation.
• Coordinating the procurement of materials and subcontracting.
• Responsible for the delivery file and its management.
• Cost control with regard to suppliers and subcontractors.
• Convincing customers and internal stakeholders of the feasibility and safety of the solution/method offered and the associated specifications.
• Reporting and providing support to the (integral) project manager.

Your qualities:

You can make your mark as Project Engineer (Civil & Concrete) if you have:

• Bachelors degrees in civil engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience including experience with relevant working methods techniques and professional software and models.
• Relevant experience with project management and good command of English (written and spoken). Proficiency in Dutch is an asset.
• Advanced knowledge of ICT office and planning applications with basic knowledge of drawing applications.
