Job summary

BESIX is seeking a Process Engineer to design and deliver projects focused on water, wastewater and solid waste treatment in the Dubai region. You will coordinate with internal teams, external designers, and suppliers to ensure safety, performance and timely project completion.

The role requires a degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering with relevant regional experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering with water/wastewater focus.
• Proven design and delivery experience on water/wastewater or solid waste projects in the region.
• Strong knowledge of local standards, regulations, and permitting.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design and technical delivery for water, wastewater, and solid waste projects.
• Manage process activities across design, testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate external designers, consultants, and suppliers.
• Ensure process designs meet safety, performance, budget and schedule.
• Provide process information to other disciplines to enable coordinated delivery.
• Support PM/Technical Manager with technical input, risk, and problem-solving.
• Ensure compliance with local standards and industry best practices.

Job description

Why This Role Matters

The Process Engineer is responsible for the design and delivery of projects with a strong process focus primarily within wastewater water and solid waste treatment. This includes all phases of the project lifecycle from design through testing and commissioning. The role involves close coordination with internal teams external designers and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely on time within budget and in compliance with performance and regulatory requirements.

The Process Engineer reports to the Project Manager or Technical Manager and acts as the key process interface across all engineering disciplines.

What Youll Drive

• Lead the process design and technical delivery of water wastewater and solid waste treatment projects.
• Manage process-related activities throughout the full project lifecycle including design testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate and manage external designers consultants and suppliers to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Ensure all process designs meet safety performance quality budget and schedule requirements.
• Provide timely and accurate process information to other disciplines (civil architectural mechanical electrical etc.) to support coordinated project delivery.
• Support the Project Manager or Technical Manager with technical input risk identification and problem-solving.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local standards regulations and industry best practices.

• Proven experience in process design and delivery of water wastewater and/or solid waste treatment projects within the region.

• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams and managing external stakeholders.
• Strong communication coordination and organizational skills.
