Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in Dubai invites a seasoned Project Engineer to join our bridge maintenance and construction team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Civil Engineer with at least 8 years of experience in bridge construction, bridge maintenance, or related infrastructure projects within the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in bridge construction, bridge rehabilitation, or bridge maintenance projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
• Experience on UAE infrastructure projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise bridge construction and maintenance activities on-site.
• Coordinate daily operations with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, resource allocation, and work plans.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, RTA, and other relevant authority requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality control activities.
• Identify technical issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and company safety procedures.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support to project stakeholders.

• Strong knowledge of bridge structures, concrete repair works, structural strengthening, bearings, expansion joints, and maintenance methodologies.
• Experience working on UAE infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of project planning, quality management, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.

Additional Information

• Previous experience on RTA, Dubai Municipality, or other major UAE infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and project documentation processes.
• Certification in project management or construction management is an advantage.
