Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in the UAE seeks a Bridge Engineer to support execution and maintenance of bridge projects in Al Ain. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 2–3 years UAE bridge experience, can read drawings, and communicates effectively.

• 2–3 years of experience in UAE bridge construction/maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering documentation.
• UAE Driving License and own vehicle mandatory.
• Willingness to work in Al Ain and travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation of bridge structures.
• Monitor daily site activities and ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Prepare site reports, inspection requests, progress updates, and documentation.
• Support quality control and inspection activities related to bridge works.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Review construction drawings and identify potential issues.
• Assist in planning and scheduling project activities to meet deadlines.
• Participate in site inspections and client/consultant meetings as required.

About the Role

• Assist in the construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation of bridge structures.
• Monitor daily site activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Prepare site reports, inspection requests, progress updates, and technical documentation.
• Support quality control and inspection activities related to bridge works.
• Ensure compliance with project safety and environmental requirements.
• Review construction drawings and identify potential technical issues.
• Assist in planning and scheduling project activities to meet project deadlines.
• Participate in site inspections and client/consultant meetings as required.
• Provide technical support to the project team during construction and maintenance operations.

What do we need from you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in bridge construction and/or bridge maintenance projects in the UAE.
• Good understanding of bridge structures, construction methods, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation.
• UAE Driving License (Mandatory).
• Own vehicle available for project-related travel (Mandatory).
• Willingness to work in Al Ain and travel to project sites as required.
