Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in the UAE seeks a Project Engineer to lead day-to-day bridge maintenance activities, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time completion. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 8–10 years of UAE experience, with a UAE driving license held as mandatory.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, review drawings and schedules, and prepare regular progress reports, attending meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 8–10 years of experience as a Project Engineer on bridge maintenance or related infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Experience with government or semi-government infrastructure projects in the UAE preferred.
• Valid UAE Driving License mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of bridge maintenance practices and construction methods.
• Ability to review drawings, method statements, and work schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day-to-day bridge maintenance activities to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate with the Client, Consultant, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved work procedures.
• Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials for efficient project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and Quality requirements.
• Review technical drawings, method statements, and work schedules.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and maintain project documentation.
• Attend project meetings and resolve technical and site-related issues.
