Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services is hiring a Civil Foreman in the UAE to supervise bridge construction and maintenance activities. You will lead site teams, ensure safety and adherence to project requirements, and coordinate with engineers and subcontractors on daily tasks.

The role demands a strong background in concrete works, structural repairs, formwork, reinforcement, waterproofing, and related civil maintenance, with a valid UAE driving license.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or trade qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years as a Civil Foreman in bridge construction or infrastructure in the UAE.
• Hands-on experience with concrete repairs, structural works, reinforcement, formwork, and maintenance.
• Valid UAE Manual Driving License is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil works related to bridge construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation activities.
• Lead site workers and ensure work safety and efficiency per project requirements.
• Execute and monitor concrete works, structural repairs, formwork, reinforcement, waterproofing, and general civil maintenance.
• Allocate manpower, tools, and materials for daily activities.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, method statements, and work instructions.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, and subcontractors to meet targets.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with approved quality standards.
• Maintain site records and report progress, issues, and requirements to Site Engineer.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and safe working conditions.
• Maintain housekeeping and support inspection activities.
• Maintain daily records of manpower and site activities.

About the Role

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil works related to bridge construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation activities.
• Lead site workers and ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.
• Execute and monitor bridge-related activities including concrete works, structural repairs, formwork, reinforcement works, waterproofing, and general civil maintenance works.
• Allocate manpower, tools, and materials to ensure smooth execution of daily activities.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, method statements, and work instructions.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project targets.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure all works are completed as per approved quality standards.
• Conduct regular site checks and report progress, issues, and requirements to the Site Engineer.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements at the workplace.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure safe working conditions at site.
• Support inspection activities and rectification of site observations.
• Maintain daily records of manpower, work progress, and site activities.

What do we need from you

• Technical qualification / Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant trade qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Foreman in bridge construction, bridge maintenance, or infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Hands-on experience in bridge-related civil works including concrete repairs, structural works, reinforcement, formwork, and maintenance activities.
• Experience working on UAE bridge or infrastructure projects is mandatory.
• Valid UAE Manual Driving License is mandatory.
