Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in the UAE seeks a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction of bridges across the UAE. You will provide engineering guidance to project teams, review drawings, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering and 10 years of UAE bridge experience, with preference given to ADM project exposure and a valid UAE driving licence with own car.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 10 years of experience as a Bridge Engineer / Senior Bridge Engineer in UAE.
• Strong experience in bridge inspection, repairs, rehabilitation and maintenance.
• Proven experience on major infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Experience with Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) projects will be highly preferred.
• Valid UAE Driving License with own car is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage bridge maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction activities to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering support to project teams, site engineers, and subcontractors.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and work procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify technical challenges, and provide effective engineering solutions.
• Ensure all bridge works are executed in accordance with approved designs, quality standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with Clients, Consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Supervise inspection, repair, and maintenance activities for bridges and related structures.
• Review technical submissions, inspection reports, and project documentation.
• Support project planning, scheduling, resource management, and progress monitoring.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical updates to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction standards, HSE requirements, and quality procedures.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate engineering records.

What do we need from you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 10 years of experience as a Bridge Engineer / Senior Bridge Engineer in bridge maintenance, rehabilitation, or bridge construction projects in the UAE.
• Strong experience in bridge inspection, structural repairs, rehabilitation works, and maintenance activities.
• Proven experience working on major infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Experience with Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) projects will be highly preferred.
• Valid UAE Driving License with own car is mandatory.
