Job summary

Dubai - FLS Gulf FZE is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate end-to-end execution of valve supply orders, ensuring technical and commercial alignment and on-time delivery. You will liaise with buyers, suppliers, and finance to secure approvals, bank guarantees and progress invoices.

The role demands a mechanical/production/instrumentation background and extensive experience in valve projects, with strong MS Office proficiency and cross-functional teamwork capabilities.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma with relevant mechanical/production/instrumentation background.
• 10+ years project management experience preferred for Diploma holders.
• 7+ years of valve industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end execution of valve supply orders including technical/commercial review.
• Coordinate with Buyer for material orders with correct specs.
• Expedite with suppliers and manufacturing sites; ensure on-time delivery.
• Submit technical documents and obtain client approvals; liaise with finance for bank guarantees and progress invoices.
• Prepare inspection and test plans and ensure post-order documentation is complete.

Role Summary

As a Project Engineer, you will coordinate the end-to-end execution of valve supply orders, managing technical approvals, procurement, financial documentation, and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Understanding technical and commercial requirements of the contract, booking the order in the system after technical and commercial review.
• Coordinate with Buyer for ordering materials with right technical specifications.
• Expediting with suppliers’ /manufacturing sites.
• Technical Document submission and arrange approval by client.
• Coordinate with Finance team for Bank guarantee submissions, progress payment invoices.
• Coordinate with other functions and arrange for shipment of order, complete post order documentation.
• Coordination with third party inspection agencies.
• Coordination with freight forwarders as and when necessary.
• Ensure orders are shipped within contractual delivery time.
• Coordinate with Engineering team and obtain drawing approvals from the customer.
• Support production by providing tactical advice and guidance on specification deviations and waiver, and other activities as required.
• Conduct production planning meeting to communicate the product requirement, specifications, timeline etc. to all applicable departments including Engineering, product management, production, quality, procurement etc.
• Prepare Inspection and Test plans.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Engineering graduate in mechnaical, production or instrumentation engineering.
• Candidates with Diploma with 10+ years of experience in project management shall be considered.
• 7+ years related experience in valve industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Exposure to dealing with global customers.
• Collaborative team player and self-starter capable of working under minimal supervision.
• Effective verbal and written communications.
