Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in Dubai seeks an experienced Project Engineer to join our bridge maintenance and construction team. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, supervise, and deliver bridge works while ensuring compliance with project specs, quality, safety, and schedules.

For UAE infrastructure projects, you will review drawings, manage resources, and liaise with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in bridge construction, rehabilitation, or maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of bridge structures, concrete repair, strengthening, bearings and expansion joints.
• Experience on UAE infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of project planning, quality management, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise bridge construction and maintenance activities on-site.
• Coordinate daily operations with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, resource allocation, and work plans.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, RTA, and other relevant authority requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality control activities.
• Identify technical issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and company safety procedures.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support to project stakeholders.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Dubai-based bridge maintenance and construction team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Civil Engineer with at least 8 years of experience in bridge construction, bridge maintenance, or related infrastructure projects within the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and delivering bridge works while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
