Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in the UAE seeks a Civil Site Engineer to supervise bridge maintenance and rehabilitation projects on site. You will ensure works comply with drawings, specs, and safety standards.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 5+ years’ UAE bridge experience and a valid UAE driving license. You will coordinate with project teams, inspectors, and subcontractors to deliver quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as Civil Site Engineer in bridge maintenance/rehabilitation/construction in the UAE.
• Hands-on experience in bridge-related works (repairs, waterproofing, coatings, joints, bearings).
• Experience with UAE infrastructure projects is mandatory.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily bridge maintenance and repair activities on site.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Ensure works follow approved drawings, method statements, specs, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship, materials, and progress.
• Assist in planning daily activities, manpower allocation, and resource requirements.
• Review technical drawings and provide technical support to site teams.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and safe work practices.
• Maintain site records: daily reports, inspections, material records, progress updates.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and quality assurance.
• Report issues and delays to Project Engineer and support timely resolution.
• Assist in measurement of completed works and project documentation.

Job Description

• Supervise and monitor daily bridge maintenance and repair activities at site to ensure works are executed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities.
• Ensure construction and maintenance works are carried out as per approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship, materials, and progress of works.
• Assist in planning daily activities, manpower allocation, and resource requirements.
• Review technical drawings and provide necessary technical support to site teams.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and safe work practices.
• Maintain site records, including daily reports, inspection requests, material records, and progress updates.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections and ensure quality requirements are achieved.
• Report site issues, delays, and technical challenges to the Project Engineer and support timely resolution.
• Assist in measurement of completed works and preparation of project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Site Engineer in bridge maintenance, bridge rehabilitation, or bridge construction projects in the UAE.
• Hands-on experience in bridge-related works such as structural repairs, concrete repairs, waterproofing, protective coating, expansion joints, bearings, and general maintenance activities.
• Experience working on UAE infrastructure projects is mandatory.
• Experience with Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) bridge projects will be an advantage.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
