Job summary

Avsar Global is seeking a detail-oriented Production Engineer to manage manufacturing operations and lead fabrication teams across UAE sites (JAFZA, DIP, Abu Dhabi). You will supervise daily production, ensure strict quality control and safety standards, manage inventory, and drive continuous process improvements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on supervisory experience in fabrication and a strong command of IECEx and ATEX hazardous area standards, with the ability to read engineering drawings

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Production Engineer to manage manufacturing operations and lead fabrication teams. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising daily production, ensuring compliance with strict quality control and safety standards, managing inventory, and driving continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on supervisory experience in fabrication alongside mandatory technical expertise in IECEx and ATEX hazardous area standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Supervision: Supervise and guide production staff—including welders, fabricators, and machine operators to ensure daily production targets are met efficiently.
• Resource & Task Allocation: Schedule, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to maintain smooth production workflows.
• Process Optimization: Monitor production processes, troubleshoot technical operational issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Quality Assurance & Inspection: Perform regular inspections of fabricated components against engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards. Collaborate with QA to address non-conformities.
• Hazardous Area Compliance (IECEx / ATEX): Apply a thorough technical understanding of IECEx and ATEX standards, equipment specifications, and hazardous area classifications. Maintain accurate records of equipment certifications, test results, and compliance documentation for audit readiness.
• Inventory Control: Manage stock levels for raw materials, components, and finished goods to align with production demand.
• HSE & Safety Leadership: Conduct safety training sessions and awareness programs to mitigate workplace hazards and prevent accidents.

Mandatory Requirements

• Technical Expertise: Hands-on knowledge and working experience with IECEx and ATEX standards, hazardous area classifications, equipment testing, and compliance documentation.
• Education: Diploma or equivalent technical education/certification in fabrication or a related engineering field is required.
• Experience: Proven supervisory background in a fabrication environment overseeing welding, machining, and assembly operations.
• Core Competencies: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manage inventory, execute safety programs, and conduct thorough quality inspections.
• Mobility & Flexibility: Full willingness and adaptability to work across multiple UAE sites (JAFZA, DIP, and Abu Dhabi).
