Target Engineering Construction Co. LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Site Fabrication Manager to lead and oversee all construction site fabrication activities on major Oil & Gas EPC projects.

You will manage structural steel, piping, skid modules, equipment supports, and site-based fabrication, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating with Project Directors, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, and Site Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years in Oil & Gas EPC Construction.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale site fabrication.
• Experience on refinery, petrochemical, offshore, LNG, pipeline, or major industrial projects.
• Strong background in piping, structural steel, module fabrication, welding, erection support, and site fabrication management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed site fabrication execution plans and resource allocation strategies.
• Lead site fabrication activities including structural steel, piping, skid/module assembly, and equipment steelwork modifications.
• Ensure compliance with project procedures, drawings, codes, and specifications; coordinate QA/QC activities.
• Champion safety with regular inspections, toolbox talks, and safe work practices; manage incidents and corrective actions.
• Oversee workforce management, supervision, and training; optimize manpower deployment to meet milestones.
• Maintain regular progress reporting to Project Directors and Construction Management teams; identify and mitigate fabrication risks.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Site Fabrication Manager to lead and oversee all construction site fabrication activities across major Oil & Gas EPC projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site fabrication operations, ensuring fabrication works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in structural steel, piping, skid modules, equipment supports, and site-based fabrication activities within large-scale oil and gas construction projects. The Site Fabrication Manager will work closely with Project Directors, Construction Managers, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, and Site Operations teams to ensure project success.

YOUR ROLE

As Fabrication Site Manager, you will be responsible in the performance of the following but not limited to duties and responsibilities;

Site Fabrication Planning & Coordination

• Develop and implement detailed site fabrication execution plans, fabrication sequences, and resource allocation strategies.
• Plan site fabrication facilities, work fronts, temporary workshops, equipment positioning, and material flow logistics.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project Controls teams to ensure fabrication activities align with project schedules.
• Review fabrication priorities and ensure timely availability of materials, drawings, tools, consumables, and manpower.

Fabrication Operations Management

• Lead all site fabrication activities including: Structural steel fabrication, Piping fabrication and fit-up, Pipe support fabrication, Skid and module assembly works, Equipment steelwork modifications, Temporary works fabrication.
• Monitor daily fabrication productivity and implement corrective actions to address any delays or inefficiencies.
• Optimize manpower utilization and resource deployment to achieve project milestones.
• Ensure fabrication activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, codes, and project specifications.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, fabrication standards, and applicable industry codes.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, punch list management, material traceability, dimensional controls, and work acceptance.
• Oversee non-conformance management and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain fabrication records, progress documentation, and reporting systems.

Health, Safety & Environmental Management

• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with company and client HSE requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and fabrication worksite audits.
• Ensure safe execution of hot works, lifting operations, welding activities, and equipment operation.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions while implementing preventive measures.

Resource & Workforce Management

• Lead fabrication supervisors, foremen, welders, fitters, riggers, fabricators, and subcontractors.
• Monitor workforce performance and ensure productivity targets are achieved.
• Coordinate manpower planning, mobilization, and training requirements.
• Support personnel development through coaching and mentorship.

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

• Act as the primary focal point for all site fabrication matters.
• Provide regular progress reports to the Project Director and Construction Management Team.
• Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Participate in project review meetings and construction planning sessions.
• Identify fabrication-related risks that could impact project schedule, cost, quality, or safety.
• Develop mitigation plans and implement corrective actions proactively.
• Resolve fabrication challenges related to materials, drawings, manpower, equipment, and work fronts.
• Capture and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement across projects.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Minimum 12 years of experience within the Oil & Gas EPC Construction industry.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale site fabrication and construction activities.
• Proven experience on refinery, petrochemical, offshore, gas processing, LNG, pipeline, or major industrial construction projects.
• Strong background in piping, structural steel, module fabrication, welding, erection support, and field fabrication management.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

Skills and Competencies

• Thorough knowledge of fabrication methodologies, welding processes, and construction practices.
• Strong understanding of: ASME Codes, API Standards, AWS Standards, ANSI Requirements, Client and project specifications
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, fabrication drawings, and construction packages.
• Familiarity with project management software, fabrication tracking systems, and construction management tools.
