Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise discipline production engineers and identify project resource needs for regular communication with production leadership.
  • Review the full contractual scope of work, contract type, milestone schedule, fabrication priorities, and project reporting requirements.
  • Review constructability and ensure the work execution plan is based on the most productive fabrication approach.
  • Lead fabrication 4-week lookahead planning, including material priorities, drawing readiness, engineering inputs, and production sequencing.
  • Chair production planning sessions and align forecast fabrication and engineering requirements with the project contract schedule.
  • Initiate and approve revision orders and change orders while ensuring lessons learned are captured for future improvement.
  • Resolve technical problems and initiate site queries to reduce work disruption and protect fabrication productivity.
  • Chair weekly project production meetings and manage weekly fabrication progress, productivity, budget alignment, and action tracking.
  • Manage scope changes, maintain AFC estimate accuracy, and ensure revision or change orders are raised when required.
  • Inform fabrication management of project issues that may affect forecast progress, productivity, schedule, or delivery commitments.
  • Develop work pack indexes and set priorities, deliverable dates, and execution expectations for discipline teams.
  • Direct discipline groups on material ordering priorities and schedule dates in line with fabrication sequence.
  • Review material expediting reports and advise procurement teams on concerns, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Authorize technical queries and project correspondence for client submission.
  • Develop project fabrication execution plans that meet contract requirements in the most productive manner.
  • Coordinate with project cost engineers, marine operations engineers, quality managers, engineering teams, SCM, hook‑up teams, and other project functions.
  • Lead discipline‑level constructability reviews and resolve construction problems across intra‑functional and inter‑functional interfaces.
  • Guide production engineering teams, drafting squad leaders, material controllers, and project support personnel to meet fabrication deliverables.
  • Build productive working relationships with project superintendents and supervision teams to achieve fabrication targets.
  • Ensure documentation, compliance, and procedural requirements are maintained throughout project phases.
  • Attend expediting meetings to communicate material delivery priorities and marine deliverable requirements.
  • Support project operations engineering with AFC estimate reviews, subcontract coordination, project status reports, fabrication sequencing, and constructability planning.
  • Support fabrication bid coordination activities for assigned bid projects when required.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore, petrochemical, oil and gas, EPIC, or fabrication project environments.
  • Strong expertise in production engineering, fabrication planning, constructability, and productivity optimization.
  • Good understanding of industry standards and best practices related to production processes and fabrication facilities.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and support large‑scale project execution.
  • Strong technical problem‑solving skills with the ability to address complex fabrication and production challenges.
  • Proficient in relevant software and tools used for production engineering, planning, reporting, and fabrication coordination.
  • Technically capable of planning and delivering discipline‑level fabrication efforts for complex EPIC projects.
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with operations, engineering, procurement, quality, cost control, marine operations, hook‑up teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced project environment with changing priorities, tight schedules, and multiple stakeholder interfaces.
