Role Context: The Senior Production Engineer is responsible for managing fabrication production engineering activities across major offshore and petrochemical projects, supporting fabrication execution, workforce planning, material prioritization, and construction readiness while ensuring productivity, cost efficiency, and schedule compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise discipline production engineers and identify project resource requirements for fabrication execution
- Manage full contractual scope of work, contract milestones, and project schedule reporting
- Review constructability and ensure the execution plan follows the most productive fabrication strategy
- Lead fabrication four‑week look‑ahead planning, including prioritization of materials and drawings
- Chair production four‑week look‑ahead meetings and forecast fabrication and engineering requirements
- Initiate and approve revision orders and change orders while ensuring updates are captured in lessons learned systems
- Resolve technical problems and initiate site queries to minimize disruption and improve productivity
- Chair weekly project production meetings and manage weekly fabrication progress and budget performance
- Control scope changes and maintain updated AFC estimates and change documentation
- Coordinate material ordering priorities and direct expediting activities with procurement teams
- Authorize technical queries and correspondence issued to clients
- Develop project fabrication execution plans aligned with contract requirements and fabrication sequence
- Interface with project cost engineers, marine operations, quality teams, and superintendents for aligned execution
- Lead constructability reviews and resolve discipline‑level construction challenges
- Ensure documentation compliance and support reporting requirements across all fabrication phases
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore and petrochemical industries
- Strong expertise in production engineering, fabrication planning, and optimization techniques
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to production processes and offshore facilities
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and large‑scale fabrication projects
- Strong problem‑solving ability for complex technical and operational challenges
- Proficiency in production engineering software and reporting tools
- Ability to strategically manage discipline‑level fabrication activities for complex EPIC projects
