Job summary

Electra Events & Exhibitions is seeking an experienced Procurement Buyer to source, negotiate, and manage materials and services for GCC projects. You will work with project teams to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and high-quality procurement.

The role requires 3–6 years in procurement, experience in events or construction, and a strong grasp of supplier management and ERP systems. A Bachelor’s degree is required; CIPS is a plus. Knowledge of SAP/Oracle is helpful.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in procurement or buying.
• Experience in construction, fit-out, manufacturing, or events preferred.
• Proven negotiation, sourcing, and vendor management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS) are a plus.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor evaluation, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Odoo).
• Strong analytical, reporting, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Sourcing: Identify and evaluate suppliers for materials, equipment, and services; source products per project specs.
• Purchase Order Management: Prepare, issue, track, and document POs; ensure timely deliveries.
• Vendor & Supplier Management: Build relationships, monitor performance, resolve disputes with vendors.
• Budget & Cost Control: Track costs, analyze trends, and optimize procurement spend with finance teams.
• Coordination & Reporting: Align with project, production, and stores; maintain procurement records.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure policy adherence and verify material quality and specs.
