Job summary

Ali & Sons MG seeks a proven Used Car Sourcing Specialist to identify and acquire quality pre-owned vehicles for the Certified Pre-Owned program. You will conduct appraisals, negotiate pricing, and drive inventory turnover while maintaining profitability.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automotive sales, solid UAE market understanding and excellent client service skills. Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automotive sales, pre-owned vehicle sourcing, purchasing, or appraisal.
• Strong understanding of UAE used car market, valuations, pricing trends and demand.
• Established industry contacts and ability to source quality pre-owned vehicles.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Sourcing & Acquisition: Identify and source quality pre-owned vehicles through established industry networks, customer referrals, and other purchasing channels.
• Vehicle Appraisal & Valuation: Conduct accurate vehicle inspections and appraisals, ensuring that vehicle condition, market value, and purchase prices are assessed appropriately.
• Purchase Negotiations: Negotiate competitive purchase prices while ensuring vehicles meet the required stock mix, quality, and profitability objectives.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor used car market trends, competitor pricing, and vehicle valuations to identify purchasing opportunities and maintain competitive inventory.
• Sales & Profitability Targets: Achieve budgeted vehicle volume and gross margin targets in line with departmental objectives.
• Inventory Management: Maintain a balanced stock mix with competitive pricing to support faster stock turnover and minimize ageing inventory.
• Stock Turnover: Monitor inventory ageing and implement appropriate actions to ensure vehicles do not remain on the sales lot for more than 90 days.
• Inspection & Documentation: Ensure vehicle inspections are accurately documented using the designated vehicle inspection forms and that valuations reflect the vehicles actual condition.
• Certified Pre-Owned Inventory: Source high-quality vehicles suitable for the Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) department and ensure they meet the required standards.
• Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service throughout the vehicle purchasing process, building trust and maintaining positive relationships.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Used Car Section.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive sales, pre-owned vehicle sourcing, purchasing, or appraisal.
• Strong understanding of the UAE used car market, including vehicle valuations, pricing trends, and customer demand.
• Established industry contacts and a proven ability to source quality pre-owned vehicles.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent understanding of vehicle inspection, appraisal, and valuation processes.
• Ability to work towards sales volume, gross margin, and stock turnover targets.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in using standard computer applications.
• Strong customer service skills, commercial awareness, and a results-oriented mindset.
