Job summary

Al Ghurair Investment LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced design engineer to support power projects, substations and infrastructure. You will prepare detailed drawings and calculations, ensure design compliance with international standards and UAE regulations, and coordinate across civil, structural, electrical, MEP and BIM teams.

The role emphasizes constructability, timely delivery, and effective documentation including schedules and technical submittals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical or MEP engineering and 3–7 years’ design experience.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro and ETAP or equivalent.
Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills; UAE/GCC project exp preferred.

Responsibilities

Support engineering design activities for power projects, substations and utility buildings.
Prepare and review drawings, layouts, calculations and specifications.
Coordinate design activities with Civil, Structural, Electrical, MEP BIM Planning and QA/QC teams.
Develop design solutions that are technically sound and constructible.
Review multidisciplinary drawings for clashes and interface issues.
Assist in preparing calculations, BOQs and technical schedules.
