Job summary

Al Ghurair Investment LLC in Dubai is seeking a senior Electrical Construction Lead to plan, supervise, and deliver electrical installation for power infrastructure projects, including substations, transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, and related systems. You will coordinate with civil, planning, QA/QC, HSE, and commissioning teams to meet drawings, specs, ITPs, and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant professional certification preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in electrical construction and project execution, preferably within power transmission/substations.
• Strong knowledge of HV/EHV electrical systems, transformers, protection and control, cables, earthing, and auxiliary systems.
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors, site teams, vendors, and multidisciplinary project interfaces.
• Familiarity with IEC standards, UAE regulations, and utility approvals (DEWA/TAQA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical construction activities for power infrastructure projects including substations, transformers, switchgear, GIS/AIS equipment, and related electrical systems.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise electrical installation activities per drawings, specs, ITPs and schedules.
• Coordinate with civil, planning, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, testing and commissioning teams for smooth project execution.
• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, equipment layouts, and technical submissions before work begins.
• Monitor resource utilization and progress; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure commissioning, energization, handover and as-built documentation are completed to client requirements.
