Job summary

AECOM in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Potable Water Inspector to oversee day-to-day inspection and supervision of potable water network construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities on a large infrastructure project.

You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, QA/QC and HSE requirements, coordinate with related teams and authorities (TAQA Water, ARE/RE, QA/QC), and maintain inspection records and daily site reports.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of potable water pipeline installation, pressure testing, flushing and disinfection.
• Experience with QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements on large infrastructure projects.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect installation of potable water pipelines, valves, fittings and chambers.
• Monitor excavation, shoring, dewatering, bedding, pipe laying and backfilling activities.
• Verify compliance with IFC/shop drawings, specifications and ITPs.
• Check pipeline alignment, levels, coordinates and cover depths with Survey Team.
• Ensure only approved materials are used in permanent works.
• Witness hydrostatic testing, flushing, disinfection and water-quality testing.
• Inspect valve chambers, washouts, air valves and hydrants for quality and accessibility.
• Monitor interfaces with other utilities and coordinate with contractors.
