Water Infrastructure Inspector: Field QA/QC & Compliance

Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced inspector in Al Ain, UAE, to oversee potable water distribution works. You will inspect installation of pipelines, valves, hydrants and associated structures, ensuring compliance with IFC/shop drawings, specs, method statements and ITPs.

Coordinate with the Survey Team, QA/QC, and Contractors while monitoring excavation, testing, and commissioning activities. UAE/GCC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years in infrastructure projects with water networks.
• Experience in potable water pipelines, valves, hydrants, and ties-ins.
• Proven QA/QC, ITPs and drawings understanding.
• UAE/GCC experience and TAQA Water familiarity preferred.
• Strong coordination with survey teams; good reporting and communication.

Responsibilities

• Inspect potable water pipeline installations and components.
• Monitor excavation, shoring, bedding, pipe laying and backfilling.
• Verify compliance with drawings, specs, ITPs and material approvals.
• Check alignment, levels and coordinates with Survey Team.
• Ensure only approved materials are used in permanent works.
• Witness pressure testing, flushing, disinfection and commissioning.
• Inspect valve/chamber installations for accessibility and workmanship.
• Report defects and track corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists and photos.
