Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Irrigation Inspector in Dubai to perform QA/QC inspections on irrigation construction works, ensuring compliance with drawings, standards and regulations. The role involves monitoring installation, testing and handover activities across irrigation networks and related components.

You will review submittals, witness testing, and coordinate with stakeholders while maintaining thorough site records and ensuring safety and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification includes high school, technical diploma or bachelor degree in civil/mechanical/electrical/structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Analyses applicable codes, standards and project documents and monitors construction activities to ensure compliance.
• Inspect irrigation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor installation of irrigation pipelines, fittings, valves, sprinklers, drip systems and controllers.
• Verify alignment, levels and routing of irrigation pipelines as per approved layout.
• Ensure materials used meet approved standards and specifications.
• Attend and witness inspection requests (WIRs) submitted by the contractor.
• Monitor contractor activities and ensure irrigation works follow approved method statements.
• Identify non-conforming work and report issues to the Resident Engineer/Assistant Resident Engineer.
• Issue site observations and follow up on corrective actions by the contractor.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain site records.
• Monitor daily progress and verify quantities if required.
• Coordinate with contractors, landscape engineers and other inspectors on site.
• Witness testing and commissioning of irrigation systems and control systems.

Education

High school / Technical Institute Diploma / Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering field
