Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service plant machinery and heavy equipment. The role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy plant equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and other machinery.
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Overhaul and replace defective parts, engines, transmissions, and other components.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and engineering drawings.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for repair tasks.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Support other maintenance team members in major repair and service tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
