Wood is recruiting for a Piping Engineer to join its UAE Business Unit focusing on executing assigned scopes of work for a Major Onshore Brownfield Project in Dubai, UAE. The role is a full‑time office‑based position in Dubai with travel required.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Definition and approval of technical scopes – assists in establishing project aims, evaluates procedures to improve efficiency, recommends organisational changes.
  • Executing assigned scopes of work – supervises complex engineering tasks, formulates investigations, coordinates design solutions, reviews documentation, manages stakeholder relationships.
  • Providing technical expertise – offers expert advice on design processes, participates in planning, evaluates technical solutions, acts as Technical Authority when appointed.
  • Contributing to business growth – engages in relationship building, supports engineering bids and proposals.
  • Manage and supervise others – supervises technical specialists, provides technical guidance, mentors, manages performance, ensures HSSE leadership.

  • Internal – establishes effective relations with colleagues, direct reports, project team members; facilitates communication across disciplines.
  • External – establishes effective relations with clients and officials; builds customer relationships and applies technical solutions.

Expected
  • ISCED Level 6 Bachelors (minimum) or Level 7 Masters (preferred) – Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Chartership, PE Status or relevant professional license/registration accredited by a recognised body (preferred).

  • 10+ years progressively responsible experience; multi‑discipline knowledge and quality management standards required.
